COMPANY OVERVIEW

WASA is a specialty metals manufacturer supplying high-integrity superalloy ingots, billet and forged products for aerospace, defence, power generation, and oil & gas industries. We produce critical alloys such as IN718, Waspaloy, IN625, X750 and 13-8 using advanced melting routes including VIM/VAR and premium triple-melt VIM/ESR/ VAR to meet demanding performance and traceability requirements. Our vacuum induction melting facilities (up to 15 tons) provide input stock for forging, ring rolling, casting and powder applications, while our forging operation— featuring a 2300 mT press, manipulators, heat treatment and finishing—enables us to deliver fully processed material, not just raw metal. Customers rely on WASA when components must perform reliably in extreme environments: high temperature, pressure, fatigue and corrosion. We help solve challenges such as long lead-time supply, difficult-to-source alloys, and strict certification or quality requirements. Supported by experienced metallurgists, engineers, chemists and technicians, and rigorous process control with advanced analytical equipment, WASA ensures consistent properties, full traceability and compliance with stringent industry specifications.

PRODUCTS

    Products & Services:

  • Reliable supply of aerospace-grade superalloys (e.g., IN718, Waspaloy, 13-8, IN625) for critical components where certification, traceability and consistent mechanical properties are essential.
  • Integrated capability: VIM/VAR and VIM/ESR/VAR melting, billet production, forging, heat treatment and finishing—reducing supplier interfaces and qualification risk.
  • Support for defence and aerospace programs requiring controlled metallurgical processes, documented quality procedures and audit-ready production.
  • Ability to manufacture large-section billets and forgings for structural and high- load applications (landing gear parts, structural hardware, pressure-containing equipment).
  • Shorter and more predictable lead times compared with global mills, helping customers mitigate program delays and supply chain disruptions.
  • Technical collaboration: metallurgical guidance on alloy selection, grain flow, heat treatment and compliance with AMS and customer specifications.
  • Production of VIM ingots for casting and powder feedstock, supporting turbine, propulsion and high-temperature applications.
  • Flexibility for development programs, prototypes and low-volume production runs alongside ongoing supply contracts.
  • Assistance with qualification and certification documentation required by aerospace, defence and energy customers.
  • Focus on solving supply risk, performance reliability and specification compliance for components operating in high temperature, fatigue and corrosive environments.

DISCRIMINATORS

  • Manufacture nickel, cobalt and iron based superalloys for aerospace, power generation and oil & gas applications
  • Alloys for forging applications
  • Alloys for casting and powder atomisation applications
  • Ability to formulate charges of virgin and/or processed revert to specifications for the most stringent requirements
  • Triple melt capabilities provide “ultra-clean” final material
  • WASA is approved to quality standards required by the major aircraft engine manufacturers and their principal casting and
  • forging suppliers

AVAILABILITY AND SUPPORT

  • WASA supplies engineered forged and machined steel components for defence and critical industrial applications across Australia and international markets. Products are in active production and available now, with typical manufacturing lead times dependent on material grade and size, generally ranging from 8–20 weeks from order confirmation. Our processes utilize established manufacturing routes and qualified procedures consistent with mature, production-ready technology.
  • We provide full lifecycle support including technical consultation during design and specification review, documentation packages, traceability, inspection and testing certification, and logistics coordination.
